Leveraging the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for our client, the project contractor, we delivered Model Coordination, Reflected Ceiling Plan Coordination, Laser Scan Tracing, Concrete Wall Elevations, Edge of Slab Drawings, Point Cloud Comparison & Dimensioning and 4D Construction Sequencing; whereas under miscellaneous modeling items we produced Kitchen hoods, Building Maintenance systems, garage ramps, refrigeration lines, coiling doors and compression struts for suspended ceilings

We coordinated across different trades that are involved in the construction process to by Setting up clash batches and grouping the clashes that are generated. Once the viewpoints of these clashes or groups are created, the html of this report and clash statistic graph is shared with the client. This kind of communication regarding the clashes we found had a cost and time saving impact on the construction process.

Created coordinated wall elevations for Parking and basement level, showing sleeves for all trades, conduits running inside concrete. This exercise helped the site team to see if any sleeves, openings were coming in between construction joints, so that they could be timely shifted and assisted the site team to find out issues in MEP coordination, thus automatically performing Quality Checks for MEP models, and rectifying them.

Generated edge of slab drawings by taking an account of the elements of others trades that are cutting the slab. Dimensioning includes curbs, pads, depressions, spot elevations, drain locations and all other minute elements that effect the profile of the slab. This process helps avoiding any rework of drilling in the slabs.

We generated a dimensional comparison report of the steel columns, where the comparison is between the steel column model and the point cloud 3D map generated by using Laser scan techniques over the as-built conditions. This report helps in knowing the level of deviance of the as-built condition when compared to the virtual model.
